Bubeneč Cemetery (Prague)
A historical cemetery in Prague 6 with a layout that naturally combines urban proximity and tranquility. It covers an area of less than two hectares and has a regular, rectangular shape. It is divided by a wall into two interconnected parts: the older Bubeneč I and the younger Bubeneč II. Both parts are freely accessible and create a whole that maintains order and openness.

Interesting fact: You will find a candle vending machine right in the cemetery. The first burial at this Bubeneč Cemetery took place on January 3, 1889.
Bubeneč Cemetery is the final resting place to, for example, actress Irena Kačírková, director Jiří Sequens, animated film maker Zdeněk Smetana, and the author of current Czech banknotes, Oldřich Kulhánek. Near the eastern cemetery wall there are the graves of clergymen from St. Gothard and the common grave of Mother Teresa’s sisters.
