Optimistic coffin is a high-quality, handmade Czech coffin made of spruce wood. It differs from the traditional concept with its clean, contemporary shape, color and graphic motifs.

Spruce coffins are intended for cremation and burial. The basic equipment includes white cotton padding and a pillow filled with a natural fragrant mixture.

The Czech designer Jiří Ďuriš who is behind the creation of Optimistic coffin, began to think about the reason why the appearance of coffins has hardly changed for decades. Why similar shapes, dark shades and traditional ornaments prevail. And whether the coffin could not be designed more sensitively and more contemporary.

That is how Optimistic coffin was created.

Not as an effort to turn farewell into something cheerful, but to use design to create a dignified, human and personal moment.
